About Our Chapter

Thank you for taking the time to visit the Indiana Gamma chapter website. The Indiana Gamma chapter of Pi Beta Phi is located at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our chapter has been on Butler’s campus for over 120 years.
My name is Sydney Benton, and this is my second term as chapter president. I am truly honored to have the privilege to serve this amazing, unique group of women. I would like to take this opportunity to provide you with some information about our chapter.
Our chapter consists of around 115 members, all of whom contribute something unique and wonderful. At Pi Phi, we are passionate about being our genuine self. Members range in majors and minors, hometowns, and personal views. Pi Phis are involved in many student organizations on campus; in fact, several Pi Phis hold leadership positions in multiple student organizations.
The women of Indiana Gamma encourage and empower each other every day. They make positive and sustainable contributions to the Greek community, Butler community, and greater Indianapolis community. One of our chapter’s priorities is meaningful and intentional philanthropic service to others. We have partnered with a local after school program to supply books and provide literacy instruction so that every child can experience opportunities to read. We recognize our position of privilege and desire to use our resources to fill a need in our community.
The Greek community at Butler employs a delayed recruitment process, meaning that formal recruitment takes place in January, before the start of classes for the spring term. The women of Indiana Gamma always look forward to the opportunity to showcase the incredible work being done by sorority women on our campus.
Feel free to explore the website & please do not hesitate to contact us with questions!
